About Dr Johann Pieterse (Dual DBA)
Johann bridges the gap between complex corporate strategy and rigorous academic research. Holding two Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degrees, one focused on business ethics and the second one on AI, he specialises in the intersection of artificial intelligence, higher education and research ethics.
Following a successful 30-year corporate career revitalising companies and advising boards on governance, Johann transitioned to full-time academic innovation. His current work provides students with actionable frameworks for responsible AI adoption. When he isn't publishing books or exploring human-AI research partnerships, Johann enjoys travelling with his wife, Christine.
